‘Cartoons of a Dark History’ is a documentary that uncovers the important role of the soft comics published by Bruguera House during the Franco dictatorship as a reliable testimony of the vicissitudes faced by Spanish society. As they were intended to be read only by children, they manage to avoid the tied censorship.
